MacMillan awarded 2015 Ernst Schering Prize

The 2015 Ernst Schering Prize has been awarded to David MacMillan, the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Chemistry and chair of the Department of Chemistry at Princeton.

The Ernst Schering Prize is one of Germany’s most prestigious science awards and is given annually for excellent basic research in the fields of chemistry, biology or medicine. The Ernst Schering Research Foundation established the Prize in 1991.

Professor MacMillan will receive the 50,000-euro prize for his scientific contributions to the fields of organocatalysis and organo-cascade catalysis. The award ceremony will be held on September 28, 2015, at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Science and Humanities.
