Susan VanderKam has been a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Princeton University since 2008 where she has taught a variety of courses ranging from a freshman seminar about the history of chemistry to graduate-level inorganic courses. Dr. VanderKam graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 with a B.S. in Applied Science (emphasis: Polymer Chemistry) and with a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1999 from Princeton University. During her career, she has served as a chemical information specialist as well as a volunteer STEM workshop presenter at local schools and scouting events.
