Cava Granted Honorary Doctorate from Gdańsk University of Technology
Bob Cava, the Russell Wellman Moore Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University, has been awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of Gdansk University of Technology. Cava received the title on October 6, during the jubilee inauguration where he gave a lecture titled “In search of new electronic materials.” Cava was recognized as a leader in discovering superconducting materials with more than 700 publications from his research group.
“This title means a lot to me. I know that in Poland there are many outstanding crystal growers. The Polish Society for Crystal Growth is also very well known in the world, and this country is unique when it comes to academics creating crystals and new materials,” Cava said. “It is a great honor for me.”
