Paul Chirik, the Edwards S. Sanford Professor of Chemistry, has been named the recipient of the 2027 American Chemical Society (ACS) Award in Organometallic Chemistry.

Tom Muir has been named a 2026 Edison Patent Awardee by the Research & Development Council of New Jersey, selected along with co-inventors Adam Stevens and Neel Shah for their 2021 patent: “Split Inteins With Exceptional Splicing Activity.”

Xie won the grant for her proposal, “Quantum-Confined Magnetic Semiconductors Derived from Petroleum,” which seeks ways to turn sulfur compounds derived from crude oil into building blocks for new families of magnetic semiconductors.
