In a pair of papers published over the past year, postdoctoral fellow Murray Skolnick and PI Salvatore Torquato introduced an algorithm that treats predicting layered mosaic perovskite structure as an effective hard-particle packing problem to model structure simply and quickly for large samples of materials.

Tom Muir has been named a 2026 Edison Patent Awardee by the Research & Development Council of New Jersey, selected along with co-inventors Adam Stevens and Neel Shah for their 2021 patent: “Split Inteins With Exceptional Splicing Activity.”
