Frick Chemistry Laboratory

The state-of-the-art Frick Chemistry Laboratory, opened in 2010, provides laboratory space for both faculty research and teaching, a large auditorium, and faculty and administrative offices. A sky-lit atrium connects the laboratory wing with the administrative space and offers a light-filled space with overlook pedestrian bridges. The atrium is a unique space for special functions to promote scientific collaboration.

As part of Princeton’s Campus Plan, significant efforts have been made to make the chemistry building (and the surrounding natural sciences neighborhood) one of the most environmentally sustainable areas of campus. In addition to landscape and storm water strategies that will restore, enhance, and expand the natural areas, Frick Chemistry Laboratory incorporates sustainable building technologies and features that reduce energy demand and conserve water.

Located in the south atrium, the Chemistry CaFe offers delicious food and comfortable seating inside as well as outdoor seating overlooking the natural areas surrounding the building. The CaFe is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and accepts Paw Points, Student Charge, TowerCards, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. See Princeton Campus Dining for special menu items, directions and hours during break periods.
