Novel molecular and generative design systems for immunotargeting and beyond

Thu, Apr. 24, 2025, 4:30pm
Taylor Auditorium, Frick Chemistry Lab B02
Host: Michael Hecht

Developing highly specific binding proteins is fundamental to theragnostics. We develop general systems, called TRACeRs, to target the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigens.  TRACeRs have unique peptide-focused targeting mechanisms for MHCs with unprecedented specificity and multi-allotype compatibility. Beyond strategies to address the molecular targeting problem, we develop next-generation protein generative models to capture conformational flexibility towards custom-made function. Our generative design algorithms, Protpardelle and Sculptor, are used to build novel protein functions, from de novo GPCR agonists to lanthanide binding proteins. I will describe these exciting new efforts in protein design.
