Fri, May. 26, 2023, 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Frick Chemistry Laboratory - South Atrium
Host: Department of Chemistry

Please join us for the 2023 Princeton Chemistry Reunion event, Graduate Awards and Alumni Reception celebrating exceptional individual accomplishment and service by current graduate students. Meet up with fellow alums, faculty, researchers, and staff of the Department of Chemistry.

Schedule of Events

We have a special program this year with a keynote speech by David MacMillan, co-recipient of the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The science behind asymmetric organocatalysis, for which MacMillan won the Nobel, has been widely shared. What is not as well known is what it’s like to be a Nobel Laureate, how it changed his life as a scientist, and some of the adventures of his first year as a laureate.

Please join us for the keynote followed by a Q&A panel featuring three of our esteemed professors, a chem demo by members of PrincetonWIC, Graduate Student Awards, and reception. The program begins in Taylor Auditorium:

2:30pm   David MacMillan: “A Nobel Year: The Frenetic Life of a Nobel Laureate”

3pm         Q&A Panel with Professors MacMillan, Sorensen, and Schoop

3:20pm   PrincetonWIC chemistry demo (formerly the Alyea Demo)

3:30pm   Graduate Student Awards with Professor Sorensen

Atrium     Princeton Chemistry reception for our alums with drinks and light food

All are welcome. For more information, please contact: [email protected]
