THE BROWNIAN MOTION OF CHEMICAL RESEARCH: FROM CARBONYLOLEFIN METATHESIS TO AROMATIC IONS

This lecture will describe the origins and development of a catalytic approach to carbonyl-olefin metathesis, how these efforts led to the exploration of aromatic ions for catalysis, and some recent developments in this area, including especially electrophotocatalysis.
