Gregory D. Scholes

He will succeed Prashant Kamat, who has served as the deputy editor since the journal was founded in 2010. In addition to Scholes’ many research contributions to the fields of biophysics, physical chemistry and materials science, he has served as a senior editor for the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters since 2011 and the Journal of Physical Chemistry since 2009 and has held several Editorial Advisory Board positions.

“The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters has seen spectacular success since its launch in 2010, thanks to our community of authors and reviewers, and the energetic and bold approach to publishing top-tier research led by Professor Kamat,” Scholes said. “The journal has helped to change the face of physical chemistry as a field, and I look forward to working with a terrific team to further enhance the impact of physical chemistry research.”
