Kleiner receives 2017 Kimmel Scholar Award
Research Area:
Ralph Kleiner, an assistant professor of chemistry at Princeton University, has been named a recipient of the 2017 Kimmel Scholar Award. He was one of 15 Kimmel Scholars chosen on the “basis of potential impact their research efforts might have in advancing the possibility of a cure for cancer.”
Established in 1997, the Kimmel Scholars Program has granted more than $65 million to approximately 300 award winners and will conclude with this year’s final grant recipients. The Program has contributed to the success of the nation’s leading cancer researchers over the two decades.
Kleiner was recognized for his proposed research in “Chemical Approaches to investigate RNA modifications in cancer progression and therapy.”
