Fri, Jun. 13, 2025, 3:00pm

Taylor Auditorium, Frick Chemistry Lab B02

The Department of Chemistry and Selloni Group Alumni, Professor Yosuke Kanai (UNC Chapel Hill) and Professor Marcos Calegari Andrade (UC Santa Cruz), will host the Annabella Selloni Retirement Symposium, “Frontiers in Chemical Physics of Heterogeneous Interfaces and Beyond,” on June 12 and June 13, 2025 at Frick Laboratory to celebrate Annabella’s distinguished and impactful career.

Attendees will come together to discuss state-of-the-art research at the frontiers in chemical physics of heterogeneous interfaces on this special occasion. We look forward to welcoming former members of the Selloni research group, her faculty colleagues, and other close associates both domestic and international.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1974, Annabella earned her Ph.D. from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in 1979. Following post-doctoral work at IBM Watson Research Center, she joined the faculty of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” as an Assistant Professor, and subsequently became an Associate Professor at the International School of Advanced Studies in Italy. After spending a brief time at the University of Geneva, Annabella joined Princeton University in 1999, where she is currently the David B. Jones Professor of Chemistry.
