Robert Knowles, an assistant professor of chemistry at Princeton University, has received the Amgen Young Investigator Award.

Knowles is one of four recipients nationwide of Amgen Young Investigator’s Awards, which recognize young researchers’ scientific contributions and commitment to academic excellence that greatly impact the field of drug discovery. He will receive a cash award for unrestricted research and will be presented with the prize at an awards symposium in October.

His research focuses on organic synthesis and catalysis, with a particular emphasis on new reaction development enabled by proton-coupled electron transfer.
