Xiongyi Huang Presented with Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad

​Xiongyi Huang, a post-doctoral researcher and former graduate student in the Groves lab, has received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad.

Ambassador Zhang Qiyue, Consul General of China in New York, presented Huang with the award at a ceremony at the Chinese Consulate General in New York on April 29, 2016. Professor Jay Groves and his wife, Karen Groves accompanied Huang at the award ceremony and reception that followed.

The Award was established in 2003 by the China Scholarship Council to recognize the outstanding achievements among Chinese students studying abroad. It included a $6,000 prize and was awarded to 36 Chinese students in the 10 states of the New York consular district this year.
